Placed rock in cage on which to wear beak.

Liang Zai's beak seems a little longer.
In his cage I placed an oval river rock. It has a smooth, even surface which feelsomewhat like fine sandpaper.

Will he wear his beak down on the rock?

Has he shown any interest? I have cuttle fish and a block for Rosie to wear down her beak and toys of different texture. Not sure if a rock could be harmful if he rubbed his beak on it. Does he like to chew?

I doubt a rock is of any use at all. I offer all my birds natural branches to chew & rub their beaks on. I also offer cuttle bone & calcium blocks but find the only time they chew on them is when they are ready to breed & it's only the hen that will eat them.
