I gave her some pomeganate and went to the kitchen to make her apple/pear sauce. It takes like 10 min. to peel, core & chop 2 apples and 2 pears. Walked back into the living room and there are pomegranate seeds EVERYWHERE! The cats are playing with them and Zilla is tossing them all over! She also shredded everything else she could and threw it out of her cage! Threw all her seed mix out of her dish

Looks like it rained pomegranate seeds in my living room!

She is apparently holding a grudge about me taking her light away and has decided to tear everything up and throw it all over!

This must be the Zon tude I have heard so much about! I think she is feeling better now! :D

I wish I could say I am not laughing but um OMG That is funny
Well except the fact that they stain like crazy

I'm laughing too! I got out the old vacuum to vacuum them up with (didn't want to use my new one, glad I saved the old one for messier stuff)

I'm glad she is feeling better, but now we really have to start working on some rules of being a good companion bird!

That's an OUTDOOR food in my house... that stuff stains and gets all over everywhere. And the birds are quite enthousiastic about eating it. Which means shake your head and fling the food beard....

If only I lived in Texas! But I live in Oregon where it's cold and wet!

This a total attitude moment! She has had pomegranate many times and usually only makes a small mess INSIDE her cage. She loves it and has never thrown it out of her cage before!

This was her having a "zonitude" moment!

We typically do poms in the kitchen or shower:D

HAHAHAHAHHA!!! Does it look like a blood bath?

Luckily the carpet in my apartment is over 13 years old and seems to only show the old stains, so not much "new" has shown up from her messy ways!

I could send her to your house and let you teach her some manners :D or she could teach your flock how to "fling" food with amazing accuracy!

Well, that's what you get for turning off the lamp! :D

If you're not going to turn on the lamp, you can turn on the vacuum! (And I'll bathe now. When you're finished vacuuming you can mop... :D

Right you are Mark! So glad I had the day off to cater to her whims! :D

Funny though, how I'm so HAPPY she is doing all these annoying things! I just LOVE that she is so much better than when she got here!

She is now a healthy happy Zon with a tude! :D:eek::D:eek:

That's exactly what I was thinking ..how far she has come in your loving care from the sick little girl that she was. Go Zilla! :D

She has definitely come a long ways! Her personality is "blossoming" every day and I love it! :D

She did BITE my Mom today though  First time she has ever voluntarily gotten on anyone's shoulder except mine, she jumped from my shoulder to my Mom's and was fine for about 3 minutes! Mom was talking to her, then to me and "CHOMP" on Mom's ear and wouldn't let go!!! Didn't draw blood but Mom's ear was red for quite awhile!

I was kind of in shock, she has never hurt me or anyone else that I know of. I put her in her cage and we turned our backs to her. She started screaming so I covered her up.

Mom isn't really a "bird" person so she's probably traumatized for life now! I feel bad, but I keep laughing at the look on Mom's face

Amanda, your carpet is a dark red, right? Your walls are painted a similar color? No problem!! :D Haha, I just avoid extra messy foods :54:

I think it was a "hey I'm here, pay attention to me, don't talk to her" nip! I've been telling Mom not to make such a big deal and not to make Zilla the center of attention every time she walks in the door. But did she listen to me? NO, every time she walked in the door she would go strait to wherever Zilla was and make a huge deal about "Grandma" being here and get her all wound up. It is always a happy time and Zilla fluffs her neck feathers and makes her happy screeches, but then when Mom starts talking to me Zilla starts screaming bloody murder!

Maybe Mom will listen to me when I tell her not to do something now??? :54:
