So i got up this morning and went to get Perry a nutri berry from the tub my friend gave me and it was full of little bugs and I noticed the best by date was over a year ago. Poor fella was eating those yesterday. He seems to love steamed broccoli so far also. I’m going to go to the store and get a variety of raw nuts from the health store today to see what Perry really likes. I let Perry sleep on top of his cage last night and I slept on the couch. I thought he would of moved down on his own in the night but he didn’t. He seemed like he wanted to ride on my shoulder so I asked him to step up this morning and he gave me a fairly gentle chomp actually not hard at all. Just saying hey no not yet. He whistles back to me sometimes. He wanted a ride back to his house yesterday (he walks on the floor) and stepped up for me. He was quick and moved right up to my shoulder I said oh crap. And walked slowly to his house where he promptly climbed off. Wasn’t quite ready for the shoulder. Got lucky on that one. Perry has seemed to except that this is his new home and spent a lot of the night shredding the cardboard rings and paper.. He’d dip the cardboard bits he ripped off into his water and make spit balls. Lol. Thank you everyone for everything I really appreciate it.

So sorry to hear that Timneh is missing and hopefully one day you will receive news of Timneh, but right now this Amazon is in need of someone to unconditionally love him, and you are, I think, in need of a parrot to spend all your heart's surplus unconditional Love on...perhaps this is not the right time or the right Parrot for you, but maybe you should go check this Amazon out, for who knows, you may find a buddy and a feathered friend who will win your heart...after having lost a parrot to death, (devasting though it is, it's not as bad as losing and not knowing, I know that,) but the hole left behind in the heart is similar. I just recently lost Mr Biggles my White fronted Amazon, and just this week I got a Blue Fronted Amazon (3 days ago to be exact) and he has totally shaped his very own Amazon jungle shaped space in my heart. Don't be afraid to love, for love of a new parrot and the start of a new friendship adventure never diminishes the love you hold dear for your beloved Timneh♡

OOPS Looks like I read the posts the wrong way round I see you have Perry and what a wonderful boy he is. I am so happy for you and he is settling in even better than my boy...Congratulations ♡
