So I just bought more bird food from Chewy ( which is where I usually get it) and was shocked that JJ’s food has increased by three dollars a bag. I’m used to a bump of a dollar or so but that was a big price jump all at once. I can’t find any explanation for the increase. Has anyone else seen a sudden spike in prices for their birds’ food?

Both Harrison's and TOPS here in Australia have suddenly jumped by between $5 and $7 for the size of bags that I buy, depending on the retailer. Costs to import may explain some of that as well I guess. Won't change my buying habits but it certainly was a noticeable increase!

Yup, Harrison has had a jump in price. I am so glad that I found chop recipes here that Nameliss will eat. Her pellet intake is down. (Her weight is stable at 15 ounces. A big jump from her former norm of 14.2-14.5 ounces. Up from about 410 to 444 gms.)

If you send Chewy a message, sometimes they'll send you a coupon to get a cheaper price. I get Ottos food there and it's a little cheaper than other places but still $16 or 4lb bag of seed or pellets.

make sure to include a picture or 2 of your bird(s) . They love it.

I use Harrison’s, but honestly I hadn’t noticed.

YEP! It's gone up $2.00 cdn up here in Manitoba, Canada, depending on the store. That's just Tropican pellets. Off Amazon? Ouch.... I saw Bird Street Bistro was almost $60 cdn a bag there. I'm better off getting it at The Bird Shop... I blame the tariffs.

Ah, well. That’s just how life goes I suppose. This is why I buy my animals’ food first and budget what’s left over for my own needs lol! šŸ˜‚ If JJ would eat more vegetables, I could feed him for free from my large organic garden, but considering it took me almost three years to get him to consistently eat broccoli, I’m not holding my breath on that! Guess I’ll just have to keep trying 😁. Was just curious if anyone else had noticed a change in cost. Thanks for the thoughts and suggestions!
