Green cheek conure
I know that purple deadnettle can be used to treat arthritis pain, swelling, bruising, and seasonal allergies in humans, allergies in dogs and cats, and supposedly to cool you down if you’re feeling hot (it’s in the mint family). I know this nettle is safe for chickens, but is it safe for my green cheek?

If it’s safe for chickens, I’m sure it’s safe for your greencheek. This plant is not actually a nettle, but a mint (as you mentioned) which is edible. Young leaves can be used as greens.

Thank you!
