Can my gcc purr? I have no idea if this is bad or good. All advice welcomed.

I haven't heard mine purr, but I would guess it's a sound of contentment. Can you get it on video?

Our DYH Amazon makes a 'purrr' like sound. And, it is truly tied to contentment, because he only does it when his beloved /adoring Mama brings him to his sleep cage and not the mean old guy! At best I get is a bill grinding sound, which is better than nothing.

I'm new to this whole "I have a bird now" thing but Stephen likes to cuddle into my neck and makes a 'purring' noise as well.

He usually falls asleep not too long after.

I figure since he's falling asleep it's a sign of happy.

Mr. Bird is cuddly when I feel his body "vibrate/purr". Thanks for all your great responses.
When I adopted him he was scared of hands and was quiet. He would fly away or hide in his cage (came with him). Now he flies all over the living room. He won't "step up" , but he is trained for "1 & 2". One foot two foot and will step up with one foot and two foot cue. I have him potty trained with a basket where he can perch and play. He has not pooped on me since:)

He only does it when I am holding him. Sorry... not sure if I can get a video of it.

Mr. Bird on his basket. It gives him chewing material, and a place for perching. I place seeds and pellets in the ribbon wrapped on the handle. That is when I found out he loves ribbon. He plays with the strands tied to the handle.

I don't know about gcc's but Skittles purrs a lot. When he rubs his face against my chest or my face he makes these little 'squeaks' and he purrs. He makes these very low 'purring' sound. Its adorable!
