Question about getting a friend for my cockatoo

I recently bought a umbrella cockatoo, he/she is not quite a year. Hatched in May of 2010. I want to adopt another one, for him/her while I'm at work. My question is how hard is it to introduce him/her to a new bird?

Introducing an adult to a young baby can be dangerous and must be done slowly. I would not recommend keeping them in the same cage unsupervised. While birds are flock animals you may want to just consider a small bird to keep you Too company. Being within hearing distance is comforting to eachother.

He's very young so should be receptive to adding a new member to the family. But take heed of the points made above, especially the quarantine.
