Question about pin feathers

So suddenly when I was trying to scratch my Quaker's pin feathers I saw tons of tiny pin feathers around his neck. It was like a bunch of them all next to each other. They were super tiny and flimsy, as thin as a piece of sewing thread. I saw other pin feathers that were sturdy like normal, but some of them were small and flimsy. I can't really break them like the other pin feathers... is there something wrong and what should I do?

Nothing wrong, those are pin feathers for the tiny fluffy inner feathers, which also go thru the molting process.
