Reading the safe parrot toy thread...

Kind of scared the crap out of me, seems like you can argue EVERY toy is a legit threat to a bird's safety.

I recently gave Perjo one of these styles of chew toy and she LOVED it, every day went at it for minimum 30 minutes straight at least twice a day.

I can only assume these are considered safe.

Birds are like small children- literally ANYTHING you give them (or they get their beaks on) could potentially be dangerous. There is always a way they could injure themselves, but the vast majority of toys designed for birds have an extremely low likelihood that would ever happen and millions of birds safely play with the toy. Sometimes a toy 99% of birds could play with an never get injured, one bird gets in a freak accident with and the toy is forever viewed as "dangerous". Other toys are inherently dangerous design (like those little bells on so many toys) and enough birds get injured they should not be given. Common sense is usually a good guide of what is safe or not for your bird.

The toy you have posted looks fine Try not to overanalyze every possible toy, or your bird will have no toys at all. Use common sense in regards to your bird species and how they play with toys (roughly or gently).

Yes those are safe.

I was concerned for awhile that my conure was eating this type of toy and the vet said it wasn't something to worry about.
