Recommendations for where to buy DIY perch materials and safe supplies

Hi, does anyone know any trusted online retailers who sell wood and accessories that are safe for DIY? As in the premade perches don't have zinc hardware or the wood for perches hasn't been treated with chemicals and is nontoxic and listed as to what kind of wood it is? Or at least some brands or products that you've had success with that haven't harmed your birds? Thanks.

Try your local Big Box store or lumber yard.

Note: It is unfair for you to expect that retail suppliers are aware of what your special needs are when building for Parrots.

I wasn’t actually interested in stores that don’t sell pet supplies when I asked the question. I hadn’t realized that wasn’t clear.

Outdoors is a great place to find cheap perch materials! You can disinfect them with a scrubber, soap or bleach, and lots of rinsing and dry well in the sun or in your oven.

I use wooden dowels from Lowes or you can find pet store branches.
