It's basically the most popular bird, I was suprised it outdoes cockatiels. It's affordable and also very human centric. Good talkers and very affectionate. Also very hardy and also entertaining clowns. It's a good mix. They are good with kids and other birds. And they don't have a finicky diet.
BUT I'm going to stop right here.....the bird picks you. You will know the right bird whatever species when it "approaches you". Might be a finch might be an amazon. The bird picks you.
If you worried about being loud, a green cheek is pretty good, once you hit sun conure or bigger you have a rock band going on 24/7.
