Well of late I have not been happy with the way Blue Buffalo has been smelling and am thinking I would like to switch premium cat food for my Ragdoll Julianna. The last two batches have been smelling a bit too much like chemicals for me to be comfortable with.

What I feed her is Wellness mixed with the Blue Buffalo just in case one brand goes belly up. I like to be able to offer her a mix of two premium cat foods for her every day.

When I first got her I researched all the cats foods but that was a while ago so I would like to know what my friends on this form think. Its a start anyway so I can be thinking of trying other brands for her that are of high quality.

Thanks for your input and advise.

Here is a OLD pic of Julianna I had in my photobucket account so enjoy the fluffy kitty

No expert on cat food by any means... My cats are both currently eating Royal Canin Urinary SO food... but one of them was eating Canidae previously... I do have my dog on Canidae as well.

I am sure there are probably better brands out there, this just seemed better than the crap they sell in grocery stores and many pet stores...

I just adopted a cat from the suncoast humane society near where we live on March 9th she is a 5 and a half year old tortishell domestic shorthair and they had her on Hills Science diet dry cat food for adult cats 1 to 6 years I has a picture of a Bengal cat on the front. That is what the feed all their cats. I plan to take her for a wellness check to our vet later this month and then I will ask her opinion. I will be watching this post as I am also interested. My dog gets the blue buffalo and she said that was a good food. Thanks for posting the question:)

I use to belong to a Ragdoll cat form and that really helped me with the dry food research. There is so much types of food out there it can get overwhelming. I was happy with the Blue Buffalo for a long time but of late it has been smelling kind of funky. I am happy with the Wellness and have not had a problem with it. I am looking for a dry cat food that is as good or even better than Wellness.

I will conduct more research when I get more time and report any useful information and links.

Both of our cats came from outside that we took in as one was super ill when we took her in. One was skin and bones stuck in the tree crying for days before I found him, the people at that house told me he was stuck up there for several days. I climbed the tree and eventually had to use a water gun to get him down, my only solution....It was getting pretty late and it was cold for a kitten to be stuck in a tree without food or water for days. But anyways, for me not being a cat person but a animal lover, I took on the task on caring for them, I LOVE them dearly now and wouldn't trade them for nothing...The second one we took in, she's got food allergies. We had her on wellness and other premium brands and she did great. But I switched them to 4Health by tractor supply, she does great on it as well. Just no grocery store brands, she gets very sick. We've been feeding 4Health for the past 2 years without issues.
