Ring turning orange

So I haven't posted about Georgie in a while he has settled into a nice little routine, he still won't come to me though I know it takes time.
Anyhow I have noticed the last month or so that his ring has started to go orange at the back, does this mean he definitely is a boy, he isn't yet 18 months old.

I actually came on ere, to look for info, on ringneck changing colour, mine was 4 month old, had him in December, he's going thru a molt, but he's nothing like when I had him, he was bright green, now I don't know what colour he isI'm hoping it's a passing stage, or sommert
