Rio molting?

I have a yellow sided conure "Rio". He is just over a year old. He started to go through a change witch I thought was his first molting. I attached a picture of him. How long does it take to get through this?

Hello & welcome to the forums.....molting is not a time defined process...some birds will complete theirs in several weeks, while others may take several months and some can take over a year to get their several thousand feathers replaced.....

Yes, Rio looks like he's going through a molt.....good luck.....

Do you have another picture of Rio not fluffy? Was that picture taken after a bath?

If his feathers have changed as far as color, texture, etc I would have a vet check him out just to be safe.
