Hi there all,

I don't really expect anyone to remember me but back in 2012 I adopted a newly hatched Sun Conure named Cameron. Honestly, this has to have been the most influential pet I've ever had. It really showed me how much work it takes to raise an animal and how hard it is to lose one.

Cameron died a few month ago to unknown causes, I joined the military about 4 years ago and as such, Cameron had stayed with my parents but every chance I got though, I made sure to visit. Eventually I did get stationed in FL and Cameron and I were together again! Funny enough I was married as well, it took Cameron a bit to get use to her but eventually I think he ended up liking her more than me! Anyways, it was a good couple of years and he seemed very healthy, even the vet was surprised about the death. I got orders to CT and I left Cameron with my parents again so that I could get to there and set up everything and than make the drive down to grab him (figured it'd be easier than having a nonclipped bird in a full car), after about a week and a half pass I get a call from my parents saying that they found him dead in the morning and that they were deeply sorry.

This was about 3 month ago but I was going through some of my old things and I remembered all the help you guys gave me and felt and update was appropriate. The wife and I have considered looking into adopting a new bird but it's still up in the air as I can't find a good breeder in the area and I don't want to rush the idea.

The Morris family will always love you Cameron! Don't you forget that! :orange:

Anyways thanks for hearing me out.

I wasn't even here back when you were, but... loss is timeless. So is love.
My deepest sympathies.
I know what it is to love a bird. Someday I will know what it is to lose one.

It really wasn't a fun few weeks and at times, it still brings me down. Enjoy the time you have n and wow 32 years! That's amazing, I bet you two have had some amazing times.

I am so very sorry for your loss of Cameron. Fly free, Beautiful Boy, you will be missed.

Sorry for the loss of your feathered friend. Also, thank you for serving in our armed forces. I'm a military brat of two Air Force vets.

Whenever you're ready, perhaps wander into a bird rescue or shelter. Maybe you'll meet a new friend that really could use that kind of love.

My deepest condolences for the loss of Cameron. It is especially sad when they leave us so young, but I am sure she felt your love and dedication.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Its so tough to lose these little guys - our green cheek passed away a few months ago and it just destroyed us. My deepest sympathies! Cameron was well loved and will have a place in your heart for a lifetime.

Thank you for your service to our country, you are appreciated!

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I wish you could have had many more years with Cameron.
