RIP Griffin

[Timmah]

Griffin died at some stage last night. I said goodnight and covered his cage at 8 last night, and when I got up is morning he was at the bottom of his cage in the corner. Considering he was fine when I went to sleep, the only thing I can think of is that some firecrackers were set off by one of my idiot neighbours late last night. Made me jump in bed, so he may have panicked and crashed into the side of his cage maybe?

I'm pretty devestated. Haven't had him that long, but he'd already won me over, and was just starting to say hello legibly. Will miss you little blue buddy

Thanks for the kind words everyone. This morning was more shock, but it's sinking in now that it's night and I have an empty cage. I painted this before in honour of him... As I called him, my silly blue chicken

I know it is a bit late to post this, but I'm so sorry. I know exactly how you feel. I'm sorry he was taken from you at such a young age. I've recently lost two sweet budgies, one of whom had been with me for 9 years. I'm truly sorry, and I know the next few months will be the hardest. I'm sorry your neighbours are idiots. I mean, why would anyone even want to set off fire crackers? They just make a bunch of scary sounds. Anyways, we're all here for you.
