Scott, I'm saddened to hear about beautiful Angel. I'm so sorry. Even when on borrowed time it is never less painful. Hugs and prayers through this most difficult time.

A friend of mine who also lost a parrot said when you are grieving the spirit of the loved one is sitting next to you.

I'm the only bird owner in my family and circle of friends, so I have difficulty helping them understand the bond and relationship with a parrot. They are all dog/cat owners. I try to explain to them that imagine having the first dog you ever owned as a kid unitl you were 40-50yo adult. Then imagine that dog passing on.

I say, now imagine that dog being to talk to you and kind of hold a conversation with you.

Not sure one can understand until they own such great creature like a parrot.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Scott. 29 years is a respectable age but also still seems short with our fids. May Angel fly free over Rainbow Bridge.
