River got one up on Pepper

Today while I was uncovering the bird cages, I was saying "good morning" like I usually do. Neither bird has ever said "good morning" before. Pepper always says "goodbye" instead of "good morning" or "good night". Well today, River was the first to say "Good Morning!" in his cute little conure voice.

Don't you just love the conure's talking voice. Sometimes it sounds like a little old man or someone with a sore throat. Does River imitate your laugh yet?

How cute.Mine doesnt talk, well she babbles something that sounds like talking but I havent a clue what shes saying.
She does give kisses and we have a call that we do back and forth.

Definately a cute little voice. River hasn't imitated my laugh yet, but Pepper laughs a lot. And it's amazing how much she laughs at "appropriate" times. Tonight for instance, I had River out and Pepper jangled one of her toys with a bell. The sound startled River and he fluttered over to the couch. Pepper started laughing! LOL

I was shocked! He says some other things, he loves "whatcha doing?" and "he's a good boy" but "Good Morning" was a first. I was all "did he just say what I think he said?!" So I said it to him again, and he repeated it again. Such a proud parront!

Rowdy says "Good night" and has for many years, but has never said "Good morning".

Pete is the big laugher here. But, some of what he thinks is funny is bad, lol! When someone on TV screams or is being killed, he laughs. He likes watching Criminal Minds and laughing at the serial killers getting people.

Yeppers! Pepper came to join the family on January 29th. We adopted her from a rescue.
