Rosie and I had a photo shoot

I really wanted some good photos of Rosie and I together, so I grabbed my BFF and we went to a field down the street from my house. It had been a beautiful field of Alfalfa but they juuust cut it a couple days earlier. I think it was a good thing though, the lines of alfalfa look cool.

I mentioned doing this before, so here it finally is

Rosie making her happy beak, she purrs and her tongue moves really fast as she opens her beak. I call it happy cockatoo beak.

Wonderful pictures. How often do you take her outside?

I try to take her out at least once a week. It's her choice though, I ask if she'd like to go "bye bye" and if she wants to go she'll step up, if not she puts her head down and pushes on my hand with her upper mandible.

She's beautiful and looks so happy. What a great, safe life she has. I love how RED pink she is. My Patrick is a soft, pastel pink, not bright pink.

This years molt will tell me if she will keep the color or not, I don't care either way though because a healthy looking bird is the most beautiful

There is a true genetic dark morph/mutation, but I have no idea if Rosie is or not. When I got her she was so RED, this was from being unhealthy.
this is a dark galah with a normal galah. This breeder found that if two dark parents were bred the chicks would keep the color past their first molt.

That's my favorite too, it turned out so cool. It was also REALLY hard not to make stupid faces as I concentrated or got hit in the face with wings, I'm glad in this photo I'm making a normal face LOL

Had a bird club meeting today on pet safety as well as fire hazards and Charlie was anxiously quivering his wings every now and then, so I had him doing some flying inside the building, but didn't get any photos!!! Thought about it but didn't take out the camera!
