Parrots
Peaches: 15 y/o Quaker, Casper: 26 y/o Umbrella Cockatoo
I bake a LOT of bread and would like to give Casper some of the good stuff I use in our bread, including:

  1. Whole or Meal Flax seed
  2. Bulger or whole wheat berries
  3. Rye berries
  4. Wheat germ
  5. Couscous (not in my breads but something else I thought of)
I'm sure they need to be cooked but I haven't been able to find any information on whether rye berries in particular are okay for Cockatoos.

Any ideas?

A secret place
Parrots
||Mika, 23 yo senegal parrot||Cayenne, 5 yo sun conure||Katana, 6 yo cockatiel||Monk, 4 yo peachfaced lovie||Onyx, 8 yo BH caique||Pluto & Neptune, 4 yo budgies||Tauntaun, 17 yo U2||
All of those are great raw, cooked or sprouted. (other than the last two, haha)

Couscous is OK cooked, but it is basically just pasta so I would feed it in even more moderation than soaked and sprouted flax, wheat and rye.
