I was wondering if anyone could link me to a list of safe plants for birds? Also any suggestions on some easy to care for plants

I'm thinking of making a window-sill garden essentially to give any future birds a bit of outside style play indoors and an opportunity to have some bits in there for foraging and of course to act as an all natural air-freshener.

I want to get some grass, a couple flowers and then possibly have a second one by another window for sprouting seeds and what-not.

Hopefully chris-md comes along, as he was a horticulturist. I don't know enough about the topic to speak with any authority. The few plants in my home (orchids, pathos plant, oxalis, and one or 2 others I don't know by name) are just kept off-limits to my birds. And fortunately for me, they show no interest in them anyway.

haha yes I'm not exactly versed in plants myself, I've taken a look at lavender and some say it's okay but I thought I would get some more opinions and a little list I can get together of different flowers I can use to make a nice natural smell in the apartment. Plus the idea of letting a little feather friend playing in some grass, completely free of a harness and danger with the window to look out of sounds really nice to me
