I have a wonderful Sun Conure--he seems to only like Safflower Gold.
When he rises in the a.m. I give him Harrison's High Potency with either organic apple juice or grape juice mixed/smashed which he eats with no problem--but not a GREAT DEAL OF IT. He doesn't seem to want it during the day. I also give him fresh apple, banana, tangerine, cherries, grapes, corn, he doesn't like anything else. He loves bread but I have been cutting that out of his diet. He loves meat which I give him at breakfast and dinner. He doesn't like Zupreem Fruit or Select. His vet says he is healthy but I just want to make sure I am feeding him alright and he is getting his nutrition. He does not live in a cage but on a HUGE tree my Husband made him on our screened in outdoor kitchen/livingroom--COVERED WITH TOYS--and on our shoulders. I keep his wings and nails clipped and he sleeps in a baby basinet at night in his own room.:orange:

Hi and welcome.

Have you tried making birdie bread and stuffing it full of veggies as a way of introducing these to your sun?

If your Sun has been on Harrisons High Potency for six months the recommendation is to switch over to Adult Lifetime, please see Harrisons website for details.

Your bird sounds like he has a lovely life, just one consideration to bare in mind is if he isnt used to being in a cage how will you get him in one to go to the AV for instance? Each bird should attend for a yearly health check even if nothing presents itself. Might be something to think about as not easy to overcome in an emergency.
