I don’t mean to trivialize it.
My fear is I may get taken in some day when my whits aren’t sharp.
I got a cordless phone that really does screen unwanted calls.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuupppppp, another day, another scam!! Like you, @texsize, one of these days I fear I'll fall for one when I'm not properly paying attention! And just last night we got an SMS from our bank informing us that our credit card was being used by someone to pay a $2000 bill at a hotel in Saudi Arabia! Seems to happen to us every six months or so, so today I'll be spending a few hours ringing around fixing up all our direct debits with new card info. Gotta love it!!

My stepmother is trying to take care of my father with dementia.
She has to be able to tell all the fake Medicare and other health care frauds from real nurses and therapists that call for legitimate reasons.
And she’s near deaf.
She’s already been suckered into switching some health provider at one time.
She got the phone I use now but won’t or can’t turn on the call screening.
