Give him time! He will!! And whatever bird I get next I'm going to try to get a girl and name her Paprika. I used to have ferrets long ago and namespd them after spices. They make for great names! I love basil! It's a very cute name for a bird!

I know! Why are they so adorable? When I was planning to get my peach-faced lovebird, I had people suggest budgies or cocktatiels as more suitable pets. But I had already fallen in love with the lovebird's little face and I don't regret getting him for a second. He is sitting on my shoulder right now as I work at home, pulling on my earring. Now if only I could discourage the nipping of fingers and ears or other exposed skin...ouch.
