Hello all,

I am looking for reputable macaw breeders in the Midwest, ideally in Wisconsin or Northern Illinois. I am having a very difficult time in finding one.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

Thank you

I work at a very reputable bird shop in Ohio. We currently have a greenwing baby. Pm me if you would like info. I do not think it is allowed in this post.

I wish I lived closer, but unfortunately that is much too far of a drive for me.

How are things going with your sister's adopted B&G?

You can do a detailed search of breeders on www.birdbreeders.com

Good luck. :)

Unfortunately after much consideration and a lot of tears (with the decision made) she made the difficult choice to bring him back to the rescue. It just wasn't working out. She invested a lot of time and energy with him and took the advice you had all given her and tried it but it wasn't working and he wasn't making progress. He would go for the back of her neck and face. He was even biting through the wrapped towel around the arm along with a thick sweatshirt. It wasn't a decision she wanted to make but at the end of the day she felt like it was the right thing to do for both the bird and her.
