Hello guys.

So i had my budgies for almost a year they are both beyond a one year mark now.
The male cere is bright blue and the female's is crusty. I provided them a plastic nesting box. They wouldn't get close to it. So i replaced it with a wooden one. They seem excited about it.
The female is biting it but wouldn't go in and the male is singing none stop

I wanna know how long would it take for them to go in. And is there something i should provide as a nesting material or they don't need anything. Each source provides a different answer so i am looking for someone that have done that before.

Thank you sooo much in advance.

First ask yourself why you want to breed. What are your purposes for wanting to breed? Make more pets? Breed quality babies or specific colors? Read this first -- Before you begin to breed....

Do you have the proper experience to take on chick care if the parents neglect the chicks? Do you know what to do?

And then, once you've read that, here's a helpful guide for breeding budgies
