Senegals?

So what are senegals like? What's their personalities generally like? How loud are they? How noisy are they? Playful? Talkative? Cuddly? Etc etc.

I'm just trying to get a feel of what they are like as pets right now.

my best friend has one and it is adorable. i'm at her house all the time and that bird never makes a noise, other than when were in her room. its really friendly too. i personally like them a lot, and it would have been the one i had gotten if it hadnt been so expensive!

I love Senegals. I think they are the most amazing birds. They are little acrobatic clowns. They have great personalities. Mine can be a little loud when she squeals, but it's really not that bad. Mine is quite playful, she loves to talk and knows about 10 phrases. She is not "cuddly" so to speak, loves to be with you on your shoulder, etc.

Thanks for the info! I may just be interested in adding a senegal to my flock sometime in the distant future. They seem like they'd be perfect for me.

Mine's as playful and acrobatic as any Sun Conure I've ever encountered. Loves to ham it up for attention, play games, meet new people and animals, and just absolutely adores cuddling.

All that make them great, but the best part imho is... while they do talk, mine has never been loud! Even when he "calls", it's not a loud ear piercing screech. But, just an "oh, yeah... we have a bird" notion.

So what are senegals like?
Well my senegal is hilarous, a little comedian xD always wants attention. Is pretty sweet too, and easily trainable.
What's their personalities generally like?
Usually they are very curious, outgoing. Love people and are friendly.
How loud are they?
Depends on the bird, mine personally is quiet unless he wants something or he wants company. Then he shrieks quite loud, or screams the words he knows.
How noisy are they?
Depends on the bird.
Playful?
Very playful <3 thats all my munchkin wants to do xD
Talkative?
Mine is very talkative, and enjoys being talked to. And surprisingly, was very easy to train to talk.
Cuddly?
He cuddles a lot, and senegals generally do love cuddles. My best friend got a senegal parrot after she met mine, and he adores cuddles.

But generally, it depends on the bird. But i find senegals very enjoyable, and great great pets. Easy to trian, loves human company, always wants to play, whats better than that? and another upside is that they arent very big either. Pretty, decent size for a bird. Mine knows a lot of phrases and words, and we've only had him for 4 years. Look in on them, but what i can say is, that i think senegals are for sure worth it
