He insisted on having TWO baths today, one in the ‘tiel’s water dish and another in Peachie’s, he rarely sullies his own 😉

Yvons hanging out. I really wish he would move from his favorite seat on the cage door, LOL!
To me, sitting on the cage door always looks uncomfortable. Or sitting on the edges of food/water dishes. Looks like it would irritate their feet. But they like it! Some of my Budgies will sleep on the edges of dishes.

Just one of those things that we humans don't understand. (I bet we do several things that are strange to them!)

Sitting on cage door is a wonder why question. 'Because I can' is the answer. Nameliss prefers the cage door too. She'll even flap wings to move it. I find that odd since she hates swings.

When the chickens are loose I secure the open doors with tiny bungee cords to lessen the chance of them getting pinched

I put a too heavy to lift toy at hinge. Not going to mention the beak involved but the bungee cord knot was found partially chewed through.

I use those children's chain links to keep the door open. I have a Miiiiiillion of the buggers and they're easy to find if they break :D

All three budgies chilling together. I was going to nickname these guys the three musketeers but my sister suggested the three stooges. That’s probably more accurate, lol!

A little of both, @nkrbkr. Lovejoy is the nectar feeder, and princess parrots are desert birds who eat a lot of seeds but do eat various species of flowers, such as wattles and grevilleas, whenever they can find them. Here at home though, it's more a case of Peachie destroying those flowers for entertainment purposes, so it's important to make sure Lovejoy always gets first dibs!

I was in Australia last November for 3 weeks, & it was so incredible to see all the wild parrots. I loved watching & listening to the lorikeets, & of course the silly cockatoos. How cool that you can feed your babies some of their native foods. 🥰

Oh that's awesome that you were here, @nkrbkr, which bits did you visit? I hope you enjoyed your trip!

Yes, we loved it! We hope to come back someday and see some other parts. Flew in and spent a little time in Sydney, then Byron Bay for a few days. We went to Tasmania from there (our good friends live in Hobart), then Melbourne, & back to Sydney to fly home. It was incredible. It felt comfortable like home, but with a completely different climate and flora/fauna. Such good fresh food as well. 😊 I wish I could get my hands on some Australian orange juice! 🤤😆

Well you certainly covered a good bit of territory there, @nkrbkr, and I'm glad you had a good time. Just make sure you come up to Queensland next time though, ok? Cos that's the best part! ;)
