Recommended? No. No one can predict how two different birds, especially of two different species, will interact. They may be fine for years and one day one bird suddenly changes and the other gets hurt.
Possible? Yes. My first cockatiel and conure (a cherry head - so ~3 times the size of your green cheek!) became cage buddies. Casey was 6 months old at the time where-as Noel, the conure, was at least 9-11 years old, if not older. Casey wouldn't take a *NO* from anyone and persisted. Eventually, Noel accepted Casey and they did fine together. I decided I was willing to take the risks, in case Casey ever got hurt, and allowed them to live together. Noel never harmed Casey and he eventually passed on due to his health issues. Casey has never been that close to any other bird since.
