Sick Macaw

Hi, a friend of mine has a macaw the bird is eating very little most of the day he lays he lays in the back of the cage with his wing over his head and he is not acting right, his neck looks like it is laying to the side sometimes, i own pigeons so i know what PVM looks like and Paratyphoid but it does not look like those sickness, also she looks like she is trying to pull her wing feathers out. i need help

awww this is very worrisome and get to an avian veterinarian right away situation.

One thought is the metal in the cage isn't safe, and has ked to chronic metal toxicity. Which often shows as neurological and weak and not eating

I agree with Laura, this definitely requires a vet visit. Will your friend take him to the vet?
