Silly question

My parakeet's cage us in the room our Xmas tree is now in. Is it ok that he is in the same room, smell wise? He won't be allowed to sit in the tree or eat it as I'm aware that's forbidden.

i would assume it would be fine. but whenever in doubt, REASEARCH! look it up adn make sure just to double check.
