Amanda, Zilla looks fantastic! And she's a natural born forager! Is that a butler's table Zilla is playing on in the photo, the top is a serving tray that lifts off? I ask because it looks a lot like Poppy's favorite play stand.

Those former owners, I think it's probably best to enjoy the fact that their loss is our gain.

Thanks Allee! She is starting to molt out the grey feathers and get more green/yellow/blue.

We're working on the foraging...her plan is always just shove her head to the bottom and get all the treats at once, crush them and then glare at Mommy for having all the shredded paper wrapped around her!

I think it used to be a butlers table but the top has been secured to the bottom so it no longer lifts off. It is her favorite place to play though, and works well being right beside my chair and the edge keeps things from rolling off. So far she hasn't figured out she can pick things up and throw them off!

And I think you're right about the former owners. Their loss is definitely our gain!

Does Zilla talk or sing

She says "hello" "tank you" and "I on't know" her favorite is "I on't know" (said as all one word) anything you ask her that is the answer you get!
Are you pretty...I on't know
Want a treat...I on't know
I love you...I on't know

She loves the song "wipe out" by the beach boys! but she doesn't really sing, unless you count in Amazon language! She loves to sit in the sunshine and "chatter" like a budgie to the music in the afternoons.

How cute!! Is she laying on her side in the 3rd pic?!! Maybe just the angle? I've never seen a zon do that lol! She's getting more gorgeous all the time too... Love the OW head coloration.

It's just the angle, she is just a weirdo! And if only you could hear the sound she is making when she does that. It's like a loud "whine" I call it her "nesty" whine and it's become like fingernails on a chalk board to my ears! LOL Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she is feeling so much better, but if she made a different noise I would be happier!

Her head coloration is changing a lot with her molt. Her yellow has gotten much brighter and she is getting a lot more of the blue above her cere and more brighter orange on her cheeks. Once she gets her "true" colors she will be a stunning bird!

April will have to keep Kiwi away or she will steal his little birdie heart!

I can't wait to see Zilla in true potential color! I mean, she is already so adorable. She seems to have a very feminine look about her . Her feather quality has come such A LONG WAY already. When she's all molted out and grown in, watch out boys!! I just KNOW Kiwi will be going nuts . Zilla+Kiwi lol

I can't wait either, I think I do a happy dance every time I find feathers in the bottom of her cage!

I finally got her to let me mist her today without freaking out Her colors are AMAZING with a light mist on her feathers. She "glows" and "shimmers" it was so beautiful!

Watch out Kiwi! Zilla is gonna be stealing little boy birdie hearts!

Scott, she is such an AMAZING parrot! So loving and sweet (except when she CHOMPED my Mom's ear the other day) that was not so loving, but it still makes me laugh

She is so bonded she is now having jealousy issues anytime I pay attention to anyone or anything else! Including the phone! I never expected her to bond so fast, it's only been 3.5 months!
