Soda can explosion

My wife opened this can of soda in the kitchen.
I didn’t see it but I sure heard it.
It made the sound of opening a refrigerated can of Pillsbury biscuits but twice as loud.
The picture may be a little hard to interpret but basically the circular piece of aluminum ment to stay inside the can was blown outward.
It wasn’t shaken up and it didn’t foam all over as it would have if shaken up before opening.
We’re going to be opening the rest with extra caution.

That had to suck and/or was a real shocker! I have seen more and more issues with the incorrect charge of gas with lower levels being more common! But, over charging is just as likely. In far too many industries, well trained folks are retiring and either poorly trained or no training replacements stepping in!
