Hi, I was wondering whether anyone knows whether soybeans are good for ecelctus or not.
The reason I ask is that for the past couple of nights, Oscar has been toe tapping in his sleep, and the only new food I've introduced to him recently is soybeans. He really likes them, and I've been giving them to him in the evenings.
I could not find any information about their suitability for eclectus and would appreciate any information anyone can share.
Just to be on the safe side, I will cut them out of Oscar's diet.

SMALL quantities, rarely. Soybeans have what are called Fido estrogen‘s, which mimic estrogen function. In parrots, a spike in estrogen leads to hormonal behavior. So by feeding your Eckie soybeans, you could be inducing hormonal behavior. So it’s not something you want to feed regularly

Thanks for that, Chris. Oscar has certainly been biting more in the past week. Maybe this could explain why.
