Anyone else have an Alex with obsessions? Our Alexandrine Adria has a massive obsession with plastic spoons. She LOVES them! You can't use a plastic spoon without her without either giving it to her to lick or getting growled at lol. We had to buy her her own set of measuring spoons cause she kept trying to steal ours (would climb down my arm to fish them out of the drawer!) and it's her favourite thing to take them on and off the ring that they're on. She will also feed herself her brekky (egg and biscuit) with a spoon each morning :D

Oh Adria is a clever girl indeed, what a funny and clever interaction. She's very cute.

Adorable! I love the photos of Adria, what a smart girl!

I don't know an Alex with a spoon obsession but one of our members has a male quaker with his own personal set of silverware to play with.

What a great idea for a DIY toy! Colorful, non-toxic, cheap...
Some of the really big parrots might splinter them, but it would still be worth the experiment, and I bet the littler parrots would love them.
I'm picking some up next time I go to the store!
Thanks!

Most of her toys are baby toys from either the Reject Store or the Op Shop. She goes through toys so quickly that we can't keep up buying them from the pet store! If theres wood involved she destroys it in no time at all so instead we collect safe timber from around our property and bake them in the oven to kill any bugs and then give them to her to destroy.
Those particular measuring spoons are very very thick, so far she's only managed to damage the end with the hole in it and even then not very much. She seems to be able to make dints and scratches in it and thats all. The red spoon she eats off is actually a spoon for people with disabilities, it's safe for people who have a bite reflex so it stands up to her REALLY well. She's only managed to put a few marks in the very end where it's thinner. Care Spoons : Pediatric Eating Aids
