Hi! I’m worried for my sun, Phoebe.

Yesterday I had her on my computer desk while I did some work and she fell off the desk, and I moved my arms and hands to catch her, but her beak was bumped against the desk as I caught her. This is the next day and she’s squinting one eye while she eats. I don’t have money for a vet, so is there anything I can do?

I just lost my GCC a few months ago so I’m ultra worried for Phoebe :(

If you truly have no money for an avian vet visit, remember that birds can and do get minor injuries throughout their lives and they recover. Please don't put anything in her eye in an effort to treat whatever is wrong yourself. It could make her eye worse by irritating it.

Thank you, I’ll let time heal and hopefully my worries are just oversized xD

If her eye gets worse (discharge, swelling) you will need to take her to a vet because it may be infected.
