I Sun Conure who hatched March 23. 2004. I adopted her on May 8, 2005
I had a Quaker Parrot named Nikki who lived for 19 years
I grew up with Budgerigars named Screech, Zoar and Blue Baby
So my birds have those cages that have the guillotine feeding doors and those plastic cups that slide right in.

Has anyone switched out the plastic for the stainless steel bows? Are there any recommendations you could provide for what I can get that I can slide into a 3.5 inch feeder door opening? I obviously know they won't work quite the same way but want to keep the dishes in the same spot as they are lower int he cage and less mess shoots out when the cups are lower.

Not sure if it will work for your setup - I use regular coffee cups and stick the handle through the bars and a bottle cork on the outside to hold them in place.

You could get stainless steel bowls with the ring holders, that's what I use though then you'd have to clip the food doors shut.

" regular coffee cups and stick the handle through the bars and a bottle cork on the outside to hold them in place."

Genius, simple genius!

I found replacement food dishes at a local pet store. Before that I ordered some online, but they were the wrong size.
