Wow, and he looks SERIOUS!!! lol

I first read Adina's post, then looked at the pic... I had to laugh! No kidding he looks like he's about to kill! The pupil is pinned SO tiny it's funny :11: Thanks for sharing!

Mine!! Mine!! Mine!! Lol love the look:D

Well in reality i think she was pinnin over the camera...but yeah really funny picture! Glad you guys liked it!

By the way ravensgryf i am digging the red bellied parrot. I just looked them up they are pretty cool.

Isn't that amazing? Tango has exactly the same expression that Madge gets when Barney sidles too close to her particular spot on the perch! They must be channelling each other. :D

Tango is so cute with the yellow feathers - any updates on that at all? Any changes, or is it likely to stay that way?

I've never seen a picture of this before. It's interesting how scary it looks. You wouldn't need to look it up or know anything to understand what THAT means. I'd be keeping my distance, for sure.

Oh my, what a fantastic picture!
Tango has so many more colours than Xander has.

Nobody and nobirdy will be even looking sideways at his almond, that's for sure! LOL! :D

Robin says thanks MrSquak!:) I love, love, LOVE the Poicephalus parrots family... I am so biased toward them. Robin is the perfect mix of super cuddly and super independent!

Robin will be 20 years old at the end of July... I've had him ever since he was a weaned baby! He is the LOVE of my life.

When he was younger, he'd have VERY violent hormonal periods, and once took a surprisingly deep chunk of flesh from me. As you can see the beak is very large in comparison to their body. Knock on wood, in his milder "middle age" he usually doesn't bite anywhere near as hard nowdays.

Wow 20 years and counting! Glad to hear that he has mellowed. The alex parrots are very beak-heavy too. Tango's beak is almost the size of our Grey's even though Talon is probably 5X heavier.

I've never met any of the Poicepahlus birds. They sound like great friends/

I would imagine she's always going to have a few yellow feathers, but they rotate as she molts.

You can see where she is missing a lot of her flight feathers, right after we got Talon within two months they had all fallen out except for two, in the exact same spots on each wings. I miss Tango being able to fly! They are growing back though, hopefully within a year she'll be back to normal. As normal as a crazy little mutant parrot can be. Doesn't matter to me though, she could lose all her feathers and not lose her spot on my shoulder. :) But I imagine she misses being able to fly.
