Hi all, my friend has a cockatoo, Pearl, (F, 15yo) and an Eclectus, Shammy.( 18yo male) she's had them at least 10 years or more. Suddenly Pearl has started showing severe aggression to not only Shammy but to my friend. Both birds check out health wise with the vet besides they're both on gabapentin. Any ideas what could be causing Pearls new aggression? She comes to you ( my friend or Shammy other bird) to attack them, they don't have to be around her. It started about 2 weeks ago, Pearl flew to the top of Shammy house where he was and started attacking him. She attacked my friend trying to break up the fight as Shammy was screaming. Then she attacked my friend this morning getting her gabapentin.
Both birds are spoiled and have good diets, their out of their houses now separately nearly all day, get plenty of attention and no real changes to their routine or environment.
Thanks!
