Left home at 8:30 today 8 hrs later got home with Suki! First few minutes in her cage were a bit stressful because she wasn't so sure about my dogs, but she's already settled down heaps, and is grooming, eating, even chewing a toy. I think she's going to adjust beautifully to our home!

Shes making little noises which sound like the beginning of hellos as well, so every time she makes that noise I've been saying hello to her, shes really enjoying it. Shes also letting me scratch her belly through the bars, I'll wait till tomorrow to let her out though, don't wanna overwhelm her too much.

The breeders had heaps of toys and they sold me ones they knew she liked at really awesome prices too!

I'm so happy! :D

Congratulations... Galahs are wonderful birds...

Here here to galahs being wonderful birds!

I can't believe how much bonding I've done with her in just a few hours! I haven't taken her out but I've been taking to her and sticking my finger in the cage. She already let me and offered for me to scratch her head, and held onto my finger for a few minutes while she chirped at me happily. shes also responding to my voice really well when I talk to her she chirps back and at one point was bobbing her head in response and even once bobbed her head as a response to me saying can you bob your head Suki? Which I admit was probably a fluke but adorable all the same! She will even come to me from the other side of the cage to chat with me!

I'M SO UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY!!!! I think we are going to be as best friends in only a couple months!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I think you will be best friends before the weekend is over:)

She sounds wonderful, and what a pretty girl, too!

:D I hope so too Roxy! She even was chatting to my husband before he left for work, actually the first time she bobbed her head was at him and then i suppose I reinforced it by giving her a really happy 'yeah'. Then she just kept doing it. I also think she has the beginning of 'hello' which is fabulous. I am just so thoroughly in love with her already! I don't know what I'd do without her and I've only had her for like 5hrs! :D

I've done the same to get my birds to start talking or to say a new word. If they make a sound that is close to a word, then I say that word to them back until their sound turns into it.

But, she definitely wants to be friends with both of you! I'd probably let her out later or tomorrow.

Its getting late here, I've put her to bed shes had a big day! tomorrow shes definitely having some play time on her play stand.

I can't wait, if it were up to me I'd play with her all night but I know that's no good for her! :p

Yes, I just realized you are in Australia. Here it is Saturday morning, lol! I am behind the times!

Thats fine Roxy! I should probably go to bed myself soon. I am a dog trainer on sunday mornings, and I have a young class of puppies to teach tomorrow need all the energy I need!
