So I just got back from the vet and she said Sully seems to be doing good on the heart meds. He will need to continue those for the rest of his life but he is going to stop the pain/anti-inflamitory meds. I guess there was a misunderstanding over the phone, as far as she knows he doesn't have fatty liver disease, his liver just seems a little off. I got his wings and nails trimmed and he doesn't understand that he can't fly yet so I put a ladder going to the floor so he can get back up.
We discussed the Eco and it would be be benificial to have it done but she doesn't know if it can be done on a bird so small. We also would have to find someone who can actually do it on a bird.
He is a lot more vocal and he seems to have more energy. The best part is he is now back in his cage! We will have to see if he has the energy to be moving around and everything and if he can't, he will be put into a smaller cage and be locked up until he is stronger.
So that's the update, I will let you guys know if everything goes well or if he will have to be put on a smaller cage.

Well that is semi good news. Glad to hear he doesn't have liver disease.
Maybe he will do better than expected. Thanks for the update.

Sounds like a step in the right direction : )
Glad to hear he is felling better.

I'm glad to hear he is doing better, sounds likes he's on the road to recovery :D

Thanks for the update. Glad he is doing better! I hope he continues to improve! I'll bet he will with the good care he is getting!

I'm so glad to hear that he's doing so well...

Another update, Sully loves being back in his cage. He spent all night and all day next to Bella, although he is staying inside his cage. He hasn't figured out yet that he can't fly so I put the baby cage next to his(the baby cage goes all the way to the ground), a ladder leading to the ground and I put his play stand right next to his cage so be doesn't have to fly to it.
I got him a nice new carrier because he is going to have to go to the vet a lot, I was just using a small "parakeet" cage but with the food/water dishes he didn't really fit.
And I got him to take his meds on a blackberry so now I don't have to grab him and he loves me for giving him his meds because he goes nuts for blackberries.

Wow isn't Sully lucky to have such a caring attentive parent! It's too bad he will have this condition but I bet he doesn't mind the meds now that they come with treats! Good luck!
