Sun conure update!

Hi! A couple of weeks ago I posted on here how my new conure, Merri, loved to nip and hated to be taken out of get cage. Since then, she has COMPLETELY MADE a turn around! She asks to be out of cage all the time! Loves trying out new food and even steps up on command! The only issue now is that once she is on my shoulder, no treat or reward is good enough for her to come down lol. But I'm slowly training her. I feel so much better and happier about being able to adopt such a loving and caring bird who was labeled as "aggressive".

Happy things took a turn for the better!!. Be patient still. The little one has lots to learn. You will find that communication and persistence will pay off. Booger does not protest as much as he use to... cuz he knows that "off shoulder" time is not that long. )

sounds like that trust switch has finally flipped! I love this moment, she's claimed you. Still some teaching to do and lots of patience from yourself but from my experience she'll be a friend for life now wanting nothing more than to be with you
