I have a rescue SunConure that is very human-oriented (like velcro). I don't know the history but the bird won't cage and only sleeps under a hoody on me or under the sheets. I am socializing the bird to the cage through food but the sleeping routine needs to change. Any tips for training this bird to sleep in cage or sleeping box?

Hi ! Be very, very careful letting him sleep under sheets. We have seen more then one parrot killed because the person fell asleep, or did not realize the parrot was under the sheets, and got squashed and died from that.
As far as your question, I think the food route is likely the one way to go. Judicious placement of his favorite treat in his cage around bed time might help, but trial and error would tell.
