Got home from work and next thing Tekno is repeating words to me like "hello", "hello baby" "Tekno" "huh" and does that "wolf" whistle.
Never saw it coming.
I've been bribing him to hope on my shoulder, but am still yet to be allowed to pet him. Pretty stoked!

Wow! That is so exciting. How long have you had your bird? I just brought a quaker parrot home this past saturday. I know that I can't wait til we get to that point. Congrats!!

I got him roughly 4 months ago And he was give or take 4-6months old when I got him. EXTREMLY skittish is an understatement as to how he was. He's nearly there but

Birdy has been on my shoulder from day one, hasn't said a word for the year that I've owned him.

Congrats on the talking ! It is rewarding and exciting when they finally speak those first words !
