A sun conure, budgie. Miss my cockatiel Sam. See you someday I hope Sam! And my little girl Sky a budgie that passed away in 2007 Thunder my budgie passed away too last September. Miss you little budd
My sun conure Sunny (7 yrs old) loves to tap on his dishes! It's so funny but I wonder why he does that. He has those stainless steel bird bowls for pellets, seed, water, etc. But I give him one small bowl to "play" with on the bottom of his cage. He flips it on it's side and puts his head in it and clicks, taps, and just has a blast! :)

Sometimes I can hear him tapping on his bowl at 4 o'clock in the morning. he, he

I just wonder why he loves to tap.

Anyone else's conures love tapping on their bowls? Maybe he just likes the sounds it makes? Or he's tapping at his reflection? I don't know.

Sweet Pea will tap on anything. It's a game that he invented. We tap bath and forth to each other.

Yogi taps in his mirror and on my shoulder. It looks so funny lol

I think they love the sounds that it makes. Same thing as with bells.

When one of my duskies starts ringing bells, the other one follows suit. Perhaps I should also put empty bowls into their cages. My guess is that they'll tap along, too!

My GCC loves to tap on things too. She also runs her beak down her hut and it makes a sound like when you drag your fingernail over fabric. She also LOVES bells, one of her favorite toys. She has all different sizes and shapes of bells.
