Does your parrot have temper tantrums? lol Mine does! lol My sun conure is sooo spoiled! He likes to pick up his bowls and slam them back down when he is mad. He also screams at the same time at you! lol Spoiled brat, but I love him! :orange:

Most definitely! Mine will purposely take the new toy/new food/new "whatever" I am trying to get her to try, walk to the edge of the table/counter/cage, and FLING it over the side as if to say "And that's what I think about that!" Little brat!

That one, I think is a bit of a universal. They are all about the same IQ and temperment as a toddler, therefore, they all occasionally throw tantrums...

How often it happens depends upon how you raise them.

Same as a human toddler. It's gonna happen from time to time...

forget toddler... my daughter is 23 and still does... oh I am so gonna pay for that :)

back to birds... yep, think they all do the temper tantrums at some point... probably doesn't help that we tend to laugh at them cause usually its so cute its funny!

Oh Loki is so spoiled I think its Hourly LOL ... he is a cockatoo aswell he has that going for him too. His "Fits" as I call them will start out with him yelling and then get into flying things around the room till he find what ever it is he was hoping to find in the first place most of the time was a ball at the very bottom of his toy box ! Just this week he has started a new thing where he wants to lick everything....... not sure what that is all about but he will just walk up to things and lick them, including his little brother Tyrion ( our amazon) which is not to happy about being licked. Ether was the Dog !

Yes.

Every. Freaking. Morning!

I do all my work in the living room, and I wanted to keep my birds in there. Well, every time I'd leave, my birds would throw a fit.

This would always be a trip to the bathroom or kitchen, and since I always did my work in there, I'd always come back. Eventually, the tantrums got so bad I had to move the birds. I built a stand for the birds out of PVC for the living room, and when I'm working, I put them in their cages.

In a few short weeks, they've gone from brats to (almost) little angels. My GCC is much more affectionate and gentle then she was when she got to see me all the time.

Ha! My girl just pulled this stunt over a carrot. She hates them.

wahaha oh yuh Frootie pitches a fit daily!! Such a bratty bird. When she gets told off for biting, she cracks it big time.

When hubby goes "bad bird, no bite" (getes put in cage) she back chats to him (I do TRY not to laugh!) "did you just back chat?" grumble grumble grumble ... couple mins go by with grumble pants mumbling away .... "you gonna be gooood bird?" happy squeak.

I think she's thinking it's a game now, I swear her little beady eyes just light on up!!

When she nips me and gets told "bad bird no bite" she sits like a statue on me looking at me with one beady eye and then starts to preeen lol I get no back chat

Indy does throw a fit when I am putting her back in her room sometimes lol She'll scream...and then finally gives up! She is constantly stuck to me! lol I love her though and her constant cuddles :) As we speak she's now on my chest in "baby bird" mode fluffed up and bobbing her head flapping and "chattering" less than an inch away from my face to make sure she has my attention while I'm on the computer ;) She might be a LITTLE spoiled haha

Does this count as a tantrum? When Sundance gets mad, he screams at you, "GIVE ME A KISS!!!!!" and lunges as if he's going to bite. Little brat!

My Sun, Blaze, is definitely a bratty bird. Sweet as she normally is, if you decide to turn your back to her, she'll start squawking like mad. She also talks back to my boyfriend, testing to see how much she can get away with before he sprays her. [emoji1]
