13 cockatiels 2 sun conures
This will be an on-going thread to introduce our two sun conures Rio and Cosmo. Our daughter from out of town brings over her sun Mango fairly often so I'll have three males to report on. Cosmo was bought from a parrot shop in Fort Worth Texas and about two weeks later we went back to purchase his brother Rio. Both are a little over a year old and are VERY bonded to each other. They seem to get along rather well with the 12 cockatiels we have and that's very much a plus as we enjoy giving them out of cage time as much as possible. :orange:

Well I can't get enough of these gorgeous pictures!!!
How's the noise level, and duration of noise?

Well that is a pile of mischief there - adorable!

That's one of many things I like about these two guys.....To be honest, there really NOT all that loud! Obviously they can squawk and scream louder than a tiel but they really don't do it that much. What I think is so funny is when they make clucking sounds similar to chickens and when they make that long drawn out ssqqaawwkk!!!!:18:

Truly spectacular Suns, so fortunate their noises are not ear-splitting loud and obnoxiously high pitched!

I think sunnies are one of the most spectacularly gorgeous species. Really just a masterpiece of nature.

Rio and Cosmo at it again! Have you ever been TRYING to watch t.v and your bird decides he wants attention by preening your cheeks? The second photo is of the notorious pair playing around on the wife's favorite wall hanging!! At least they weren't chewing on it but we ALL know what birds do everywhere in the blink of an eye!!!! :04:

They waited until you were concentrating on TV and hopefully distracted!

I have a sun conure, Skittles, but I'm not from Texas. However, I just felt like messing with Texas, rebelling and all.

Had the day off so after running a few errands, I promised Rio and Cosmo I'd play with them and it payed off! They BOTH behaved better than expected and we had a good time. Rio is getting better but it's always Cosmo that beats him out the door when the cage is opened.:22:

They really are an adorable duo - and I can imagine how much trouble they can get into!

TWO sun conures? How are you still sane? lol.

Forget sanity, how are you still hearing? [emoji1787] When Loki gets in a mood, he sounds like a smoke detector screeching through the house!

You ask me how I'M hearing and you have a Cockatoo?? LOL! I guess my two are pretty low key ( noise wise ) compared to what others tell me. I can assure you there ARE times when 12 cockatiels all chiming in at once can give the suns a run for there money!!!:22:

Txcockatielguy oddly enough, Luci isn’t too loud usually. Of course, when all four of the birds are in a mood simultaneously, I can’t hear anything else! [emoji37]
