Theres no hanging about here you know, :D
What a pretty little bird, what is his/her name, Is that an unusual colouring for a lovebird, I've never seen one that colour. Thanks for sharing with us. Sorry for my ignorance but I've not had much to do with lovebirds.

Thank you, greylady.
I raise lovebirds amongst other birds but they are truly one of my favorite species of birds.
The bird in the picture is a White Faced, Australian Cinnamon, Violet mutation.
She is a hen and her name is Emma. I raised her myself and she is paired with another lovebird as his mate. They are inseperable and are coming of age to start raising a family. I'll include a picture of them so you get "the full effect."

Regarding your comment about not knowing about the diferent mutations...lovebirds are one of the most complex species of birds in regards to the multitude of mutations that they consist of. I'm constantly learning and wanting to know more!

Really nice pictures and birds, Karen. Nothing has prettier feathering than a lovebird, I'd say, but I'm partial.

Oh Karen, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you posted pictures of yours also. I guess I was too busy looking at the birds to see who posted them. They are beautiful!
