Exactly. I am not talking a body odor type of thing. It comes from its nose and you can tell like it is breathing a bit harder when it is happening. At first I thought it was hissing at me but he was not showing fear. When I first read about an odor from other members, I thought it was from the feathers too until I sat in front of his cage one day and started talking to him. Oh, it was near his food cup too. Lol. He came to me, started breathing harder and this unusual scent came from nowhere. That was when I realized what people were talking about.
This next question is probably to be answered by breeders. Does this occur between two birds during mating season? If so, then that means the birds do have the ability to smell and this could be considered as pheromones. That makes sense doesn't it?
