we've finally brought home our new Noble Macaw! She's a cute as a pea and we think we are deciding on the name Honey(dew) because in the sun her iridescence is like a golden color which i fell in love with along with her soft green feathers, just like a sweet little honeydew.
excited to see this little one grow and hopefully she'll get along with out green cheek.
And with my meyer's, forget it lol. right when i brought a new cage home she knew what was up and just glared at me lol! I had to remind her that she still rules the roost and then she for gave me~
All in all I'm happy and Honey seems to be settling in fine. Now i just gotta fill her cage up with more toys! (gotta find out what she likes to begin with... so far she likes thinks like breaded/knotted rope and wick. though i fee like that will change soon when she grows up alittle more) I cant wait for her black beak to come in and her reds!

I'll post pictures of all my birds soon!:green2::blue1::green:

Can't wait to see pics! I think the Nobles have the cutest faces :) Congrats.

Congratulations on your sweet new addition! Looking forward to photos!

The only thing I'll say about Noble's other than they are sweet and playful, is they have a beak like a sewing needle. Beak grooming is an issue with these little guys. Check the point on that from time to time, and just dull it/round it off with a nail file when it starts getting too sharp.

Yes the place i got her said they are very unique in that unlike other macaws they have an abnormally sharp beak for their size along with the hahns. but so far they were pretty good about grooming her beak. they also said they are very dependent of that needle nose beak of theirs for eating and what not.
she seems to know already that her beak is strong and is very gentle. also she eats like a cow! i thought my meyers was a fatty but damn she can put things away lol!

this is the first picture i took of her !

What a beautiful baby Honey is :). I love seeing Noble's faces from the front view too, so cute.

Yeah, the only reason I mentioned it is because I had one step up with the "needle beak" and it went into the meat of my hands. Not quite clean through, but almost out the other side.

Not the bird's fault. He was actually just gently holding on while stepping up.
